Born in India and raised in Dubai, Tan Dhingra’s journey is anything but conventional. He dropped out in his junior year of high school and moved to California. Seeking new opportunities, he eventually relocated to Toronto to pursue a career in film this is where his journey with Pom and beyond started. 👇

In Toronto, Dhingra teamed up with Alex Widder, Doruk Taskiran and Silka Hsu to create the Pomegranate Arts Collective. This collective became a cultural hotspot, hosting diverse artistic events that fostered community and creativity. Visual arts, music, and performance converged to make Toronto’s art scene vibrant and dynamic.

They also partook in WWOOF together and won a video contest with them, which lead to kick off a love for a new life style for Tan.

This is also where the concepts of non duality, the matrix, permaculture, agriculture and light got added to his realm. This opened up a project on a 4 acre farm on fort Erie about the magic that came from one woman’s attempts at figuring out life.

In 2022 Dhingra took a shot at the bar and restaurant life and flew to Bali to help his father with his new life there. In a tourist fill town named Semeniyak , Tan created an urban jazz space through curating an artsy menu of cocktails named after women he’d loved in his past.
The menu did well and this venture opened up his life to many more connections that ran deep and strong. One night, after a late night running the bar, Tan ended up in a chase with two street holigans looking to capture him, he ran many blocks looking for shelter and then eventually jumped into a random car that was his ticket to safety. It was giving experience and one that truly made Tan aware of the alertness one must possess to truly live.

Dhingra directed "Rivers of Life," a documentary that delves into the historical, artistic, and ontological significance of rivers.
This journey captures the transformation of a diverse group of individuals, offering viewers a personal and immersive experience as the group transcend on a journey to find our more about a native river granted personshood status.
The documentary employs poetic, expository, observational, participatory, reflexive, and performative styles, creating a rich and engaging narrative.
The Rivers project is set to raise public awareness about the importance of rivers and integrate Indigenous knowledge into conservation efforts. It is planned to be accompanied with a book in the works further expanding on lens the rivers provide into intimate relationships that compose us.

After the documentary, Dhingra moved to Tamworth, Ontario—a small town with 400 residents. Here, he lived with Jake Walker, a renowned local plumber, and immersed himself in rural life. This experience offered him a unique perspective on the simplicity and authenticity of small-town Canadian culture.

Dhingra then moved to Montreal, living with his friend and film editor, Leo Carter. He continued to work on film projects and expanded his artistic network. However, an incident at a party for a friend’s 40th birthday led to Dhingra’s detention and a facial injury, marking a challenging period of understanding the power of the law, and police.
Hoping to Take a trip down a familiar lane, Dhingra ventured back to Southern California. Living with a model and her posse of pets grasping he grasped an understanding for the role of the mother, sexuality in the modern age, Overtly confusing state systems of childcare and the power of devotion in an attention economy. This later lead to the founding of OnlyTans, a venture that supports models through the implementation of Simp Systems and targeted creator engagement infrastructure. After the chaotic end of his last California chapter, he found himself In search of community and the comfort of familiarity yet again. Tan popped back into Toronto, only this time staying with his close friend Ben Dryden.

Dryden, Founder of ZeroDraft, is a fellow Toronto Techie and early investor in dream.ai. Tan spent 100 days with Ben, this was a a heavily inspiring and shattering experience for him. He picked up several skills through osmosis, expanding his understanding of AI & vitality and made some fascinating friends living their own badass versions free lives. Tan spent a great deal of time at Wombo’s office, witnessing a world pool of cool.
